To e Talatalanoa

To e Talatalanoa Uniting Church is a Uniting Church congregation sharing the premises and a minister with Canberra City congregation.

Sunday services are at 2.00 pm and are predominately in Tongan language. The service takes a traditional Tongan form with harmony singing and a focus on lotu (prayer) and the malanga (sermon). You’ll find a variety of ages present at a To e Talatalanoa service including aged Tongans, young families, and youth. Services commonly include a children’s time (Sunday school) and activities for children.

To e Talatalanoa celebrates a number of important services throughout the year, such as the White Sunday; Mother’s and Father’s Sunday and on these occasions the service will be followed by a Tongan refreshments.

On the first Sunday of each month (excluding May) To e Talatalanoa combines with Canberra City for the 10.00 am communion service. 

To e Talatalanoa share a special relationship that includes sharing premises and a minister and a number of other shared aspects in the lives and ministries of the two congregations. You will always find a warm welcome at To e Talatalanoa.

While there is no particular expectation concerning what you may wear to a To e Talatalanoa service it is appreciated if your clothing is neat and respectful.
